Several new clients to consult within the past week have kept us out of trouble. The challenges they’ve presented has really sparked some creativity from the Designers. From the simple, elegant black and silver theme through to some very individual and unusual thankyou gifts – we’ve been kept on our toes. Due to the one-of nature of the stationery we create for each client we can’t share these with you right now – but we’ll be posting them for all to see after the events.
As part of our marketing push you will be able to find us at the Maitland Markets each month. Unlike Bridal Expos (geared just for weddings) the markets present us with an opportunity to reach prospective clients for other events. And also unlike Bridal Expos, the markets are a lot cheaper to attend! J Plus they give us a chance to sell off our surplus stock to make way for new and exciting papers and accessories. So for the scrapbookers and card makers out there, be sure to come and visit us at the Maitland Markets this Sunday.
Now for the latest in trends for wedding invitations, and for other types of stationery such as birthday invitations, birth announcements etc. At present there is a push towards simplified designs and colours. Tone on tone (eg, white on white) with textures and monotone patterns very popular. Many brides are leaning towards stronger colours but sticking within the same hue and using textures and patterns to add depth and interest. If “bling” is added it is just a subtle touch. So keep this in mind when planning your special event.
